Enrollment Forms

In addition to the online application and the fully-refundable deposit the following forms are required to be considered for the Taglit-Birthright Israel : SEC- Sephardic Tour. Please print, complete and submit them immediately after applying.

Interview
Every applicant must have a phone interview before being confirmed for a trip. Interviews can be conducted by calling our office at 310-441-9361 during Monday to Thursday 10AM to 3PM.

Deposit
In order to complete your registration; all applicants are required to make a $250 deposit. You will be asked to submit the fully-refundable deposit in section 8 of the Taglit-Birthright Israel application. Please be sure to submit it at the same time that you submit your online application or very shortly thereafter. This will help ensure that you are not placed on a waiting list.

This deposit is fully refundable and by doing so, you are not making a commitment to go on the trip. If you go on a trip, this deposit will be refunded to you shortly after you return.

If you do not go on a trip, and cancel before the deadline listed below, you will receive your deposit back in full. However, if you do not cancel by this deadline, you will forfeit the deposit.

Should you need to cancel, please be sure to do so in writing by e-mailing Sandra sbelillti@secjerusalem.org before the cancellation deadlines listed below and your deposit will be returned in full.

If you are experiencing technical difficulties relating to your deposit please contact Payoneer (the company that processes it) at support@payoneertravel.com or 1-888-950-5558.

* Applicants will not be considered for a trip until the online application, a deposit, and all forms have been submitted.

The exact deadlines for notification of cancellation are:

May Departures – March 18  - 9:00 am EST
June Departures – April 1 -  9:00 am EST
July Departures – May 4 -  9:00 am EST
August Departures– June 1 -  9:00 am EST

Passports and Travel Documents
Passports and travel documents should be ordered or renewed immediately after applying (passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after departure).

Spending Money
We suggest bringing approximately $200 to $300 USD in cash. If you do not have a credit card, you may want to bring a little more. Almost all stores in Israel accept credit cards. Do not rely on ATM machines as they can be difficult to find. Travelers Checks are also difficult to cash so we do not recommend bringing them.

Gratuity
Please bring $65 USD, in addition to your spending money, which will be used as gratuity for your amazing Israeli staff.

Currency Exchange Rates
The currency in Israel is Shekel or New Israel Shekel (NIS).
